Each final product, though singular, holds a rich and complex design story. This poster gallery exhibits some of my favorite compositions, all displaying different techniques and talents based on my end goals. I love poster design, as it feels like a puzzle to be able to fit all of your content into a 3 second veiwing cycle. I know many designers enjoy the process of trying to capture their audience's view, and I am one and the same. A poster is one of those things that combines all of our design principles into a satisfying little package.This poster was created to exhibit a faux speaking event put on by Michael Bierut of Pentagram. The primary mission of this poster was to exhibit the designer’s style while additionally putting on our own twist. A constraint of the project that really got to me was the need to work in Swiss design, although in the end I was satisfied with my project and had consequently learned to adapt to different stylistic eras.
“Grow Some Good” was created for the fight for kindness poster competition. The primary elements are Hand-illustrated and vectorised typography. My reasoning for creating this piece was to express a UN sustainability goal using only typography. Grow some good comments on eco-friendly agricultural practices and sustainable growth.
“Hide and Seek” is a surrealist poster advertising a touring mime group on their journey around the US and Europe. This group project was a creative collaboration between three of my classmates. The composition challenged us in many ways, from the analog elements (like our cardboard doll house) to the complex editing process.
“Contract to party” is a different take on graphic design, in which I attempted (through a client prompt) to convey an intricate topic with no use of typography. The photo poster tells a tale of peer pressure and the forced indulgence of substances to fit in. The layout of this composition, as well as the lighting and props tought me a great deal about the intricacies of photo design and its importance in graphic desinn as a whole.
